undertaking
a prequalification
exercise engaging interested Ship manufacturers,
Ship
yards
and Ship
manufacturer's
representatives who
are highly regarded,
skilled and proficient
for the
procurement
of a
Deep Sea Oceanographic and
Fisheries Research Vessel
to
prequalify.
PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for
prequalification, interested and competent bidders must submit the
following:
1.
Certificate
of
Registration of incorporation
2.
Company
audited
account
for the last 3(Three)years
3.
Evidence
of experience
with
similar jobs done with satisfaction in the
past
three
years.
This
should
include
the
scope of work and the amount
which
should
be
verifiable
4.
Evidence
of
financial
capability
to handle the job and bank support
5.
Company
profile
including
names and technical
qualification(s)
and
experience(s)
of key
personnel
6.
Manufacturers
authorization
for accredited
representative
and
suppliers
7.
Evidence
of availability
of spare parts
8.
Evidence
of
maintenance
capability
and
after
sales
service for
at
least
5(Five)
years
from
the date of the commissioning of the equipment .
SUBMISSION OF PREQUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS
The complete
prequalification
should
be enclosed
in an envelope,
sealed
and
marked "PREQUALIFICATION
DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF
DEMERSAL
AND
PELAGIC
DEEP
SEA
OCEANOGRAPHIC AND FISHERIES RESEARCH
VESSEL"
at
the top
right
corner
of the envelope and addressed to:

1. The
completed
prequalification
documents
should be deposited
in
the
Tenders Box situated
at a
designated
place in the Executive
Director's
office
and the Administrative department on or before 12:00 noon two weeks from
the date of this publication.
2. Opening
of the submitted documents will be done
on the closing
day in the presence of the bidders or their representatives
who choose to attend at the Institute's
conference room at
12:00 noon.
3.
This
is
not an invitation
to tender as full tendering procedure will be applied only
to bidders that have been prequalified and found capable of project
delivery.
4. Tenderers
should note that only prequalified
companies would be invited to
submit
financial
bids. The Institute reserves the right to reject any
or all
prequalified
documents
